Boo! It’s almost Halloween

Wow – its already October! Which means Trick-or-Treaters will be showing up at our doorsteps soon, costumes are feverishly getting put together and candy sales are going crazy! Its such a fun time of year. Colors change, everyone starts to feel invigorated to move into a new season and of course, the kids are extremely excited about all the fun they are going to have over the next few months!

I’m so excited that I will be spending Halloween with my brand new granddaughter Jamesly! As a brand new and first-time grandparent, I am looking forward to all the fun, adventures and best of all – STORIES that I get to read her! A perfect opportunity to practice my Voice Over character reads and voices that I like to use for audiobooks.

Speaking of audiobooks, I’m extremely pleased to to share that I recently completed my first audiobook with Learning Ally, “Oonawassee Summer: Something is Lurking Beneath the Surface”. A fun story about Addie and Tanner, 12-year-old cousins who are spending their first adventure-filled summer in Florida with their beloved Gram and Great-Uncle Henry. This educational title was named winner of the Ben Franklin Award and the Teacher’s Choice Award. The story is geared for 3rd to 5th graders and was so much fun to read! Learning Ally helps people of all ages with learning disabilities gain access to books and resources aimed at helping them succeed in their educational goals and life. I am proud that I was able to donate my time and talent to such a fine organization.

This November, I will again be attending the That’s VoiceOver Career Expo to be held in Los Angeles, CA on November 17 and the Voice Arts Awards on November 18, 2018. I’m so excited to participate in seminars, meet talented artists and continue to improve on my voiceover skills and knowledge with an organization that is dedicated to advancing everything Voice Over!

So, get ready to hand out candy, dress up in your best costume and grab a pumpkin latte! Its a fun time of year for everyone! And please, post your scariest, most fun, and cutest costumes to my Facebook page, Instagram or Twitter page! Happy Fall everyone!

Let my voice be your voice!

Margie
